IEC Low Voltage Switchgear Certifications

Risentric provides IEC low voltage switchgear solutions for industrial and commercial power distribution projects.
This page presents the main certifications, compliance documents, and type test reports related to our LV switchgear, LV panels, motor control centers, and distribution assemblies used in export and engineering applications.

What does IEC mean?

IEC meaning refers to the International Electrotechnical Commission, the organization that publishes internationally recognized electrical standards.

What is the IEC standard for LV panels?

For most industrial and commercial IEC low voltage switchgear and LV panel assemblies, the key standard family is IEC 61439. This standard defines the construction, safety, and verification requirements for low voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.

Some certificates and test reports are issued under the company’s registered Chinese name “上海日盛电气有限公司 (Shanghai Risheng Electric Co., Ltd.)” or the earlier English transliteration “Risheng”.
“Risentric” is the current international brand name used for overseas markets. All certificates shown belong to the same legal entity.

Risentric holds multiple CQC certifications and type test reports issued in accordance with relevant GB/T standards, many of which are technically aligned with corresponding IEC standards. This ensures that our products follow internationally recognized design principles, performance requirements, and safety concepts, while complying with applicable national regulations.

IEC 61439 for low voltage switchgear

IEC 61439-1

IEC 61439-1 covers the general rules for low voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.

IEC 61439-2

IEC 61439-2 applies to power switchgear and controlgear assemblies, which is the most important part for many industrial LV switchgear and panel systems.

IEC 61439-3

IEC 61439-3 applies to distribution boards intended for operation by ordinary persons, typically in more final-distribution applications.

What is CQC?

CQC stands for China Quality Certification Centre. CQC certification and type test reports are important supporting documents for low-voltage switchgear, LV panels, and switchboard assemblies in China. These certifications are highly related to the applicable GB/T standards, especially the GB/T 7251 series for low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies.

For international projects, the corresponding IEC framework is IEC 61439. In practice, the relationship is commonly presented as:

  • GB/T 7251.1-2023 = IEC 61439-1:2020
  • GB/T 7251.2-2023 = IEC 61439-2:2020
  • GB/T 7251.3-2017 = IEC 61439-3:2012

What is CE?

CE marking indicates that a product meets the relevant European Union legal requirements where CE marking is required. The European Commission explains that products bearing the CE marking can be traded in the EEA without restrictions where the applicable EU legislation requires it.

Type test of LV switchgear and certification evidence

When customers evaluate IEC low voltage switchgear, they often ask for certification evidence and the type test of LV switchgear. These documents help verify that the assembly design meets relevant technical and safety requirements for project review, tender submission, and supplier qualification.
